BUILDING SOFTWARE, SECURING SYSTEMS

Hey everyone, my name is George.

I'm a software developer, business owner, and aspiring cyber security professional.

I started my own web development and SEO agency in 2019 and spent the next several years building websites, custom software, and digital solutions for businesses. Through that work, I developed a passion for technology and problem solving, which ultimately led me to begin a Bachelor of Information Technology in 2024, majoring in Cyber Security.

Since then, I've had the opportunity to work on a range of commercial projects including CRM systems, a cryptocurrency trading dashboard, custom CMS platforms, and FindMySpa.com.au, a full-stack marketplace platform that I designed and developed from the ground up. Working on these projects has given me hands-on experience with databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, authentication systems, payments, and the challenges that come with building production software.

One of the highlights of my degree has been being selected by the university to work alongside IBM on their Digital Credentials platform. It is an incredible opportunity to contribute to a real industry project while gaining exposure to enterprise technologies and professional development practices.

The more software I built, the more interested I became in understanding how systems can be secured. That curiosity is what drew me towards cyber security. Today, I'm actively developing my skills through my university studies, my own home lab environment, and platforms such as Hack The Box. I recently started HTB and have already reached Level 5, with a goal of continuing to push myself well beyond that as I work towards a career in cyber security.

This website is where I share my projects, ideas, and the things I'm building and learning along the way. I'm currently updating the site, so there's plenty more to come soon.
